What does everyone think about this possibility?

We play an 11 game regular season. Weeks 12 and 13 consist of playoffs for the top 4 teams to determine a league champion who will represent the league in the championship chase during weeks 14-16. The other teams also play supplemental playoff brackets (4 in each) to determine entries into the 1st and second teir supplemental chases (the losers will play a game in week 13). The top three point totals for all 13 games (including the playoffs) that do not qualify by winning their playoff bracket make the championship, 1st teir, and second teir chase respectively. So, each teir has 2 teams from each league in it. The remaining 6 teams from each league would enter a 3rd teir chase. So, the finals are broken down into 4 strata for the points chase over the final three weeks. The 3rd teir winner would get $100, the 2nd teir winner would get $500, the 1st teir free main event entry (like now). My thinking here is to reward teams for finishing as high as possible regardless of their position and thus reduce the incentive to quit. It would also make every game count as teams struggle to get into the highest possible bracket.

Just a thought.

I want all 13 weeks for the regular season.

Weeks 11-13 are crunch time and the first time in 7 weeks that there are NO bye weeks. It gives the teams a chance to make a final push while at full strength.

Closing the regular season off at week 11 would also require the waiver wire to close at that point. That could weaken teams as they make their Championship runs if they succomb to injury in weeks 12 or 13.

I want to play all 13 weeks.

If your gonna have head to head, I want to play everybody once.

I still think the best H2H, best Total Points, and best Power Ranking teams should advance to the bonus round.

Those three teams can have a Total Points weeks 14-16 to determine the final league champion.

second DA for the NFFC 14 teamers

not so sure for the NBC 12 teamers - this could be changed to regular season weeks 1-11; playoffs in weeks 12 & 13 and brackets in weeks 14-16 and be better for that format

Right! And, the "playoff games" still count for total points. So, if you need the extra games to make "a push" they will be head-to-head and still count towards total points for the season.
