I know it's been posted before but what is the goal for 2006 signups and how will that effect prize money if achieved?

The goal is 350 teams for the main event. We have projected all of the prize money based on that over the last two years and we guaranteed all of the prize money in 2004 even though we finished with 224 teams and again last year at 280 teams. It's time to fill this baby up with all 350 teams and get it right.

I will add a signup page for the satellite leagues later this week as well and we'll start those in July. Look for that link soon. A mass e-mail to last year's participants is coming soon.

Greg...I hear ya on the guaranteed money the last 2 years. You guys gotta catch up and make some cash but I was wondering what goal needs to be achieved in the next 2-5 years to dramatically effect the prize $$$$?

If you're asking what number of participants we'd need to increase the overall prize pool, that's easy. If we were able to get over 350 this year or any year after this, we'd like to try and bump up the overall prizes starting with second through 8th (or increase that to 10th) overall. I think the $100,000 grand prize is strong enough until we start getting over 400 teams. Or maybe we increase the league prize by $1,000 if we get above that level, again giving more money to more winners.

Honestly, I see the increase in prize money coming from national sponsorship and hopefully one day TV. I won't stop trying to get this aired and when it does that will help increase the pot faster than adding 50-70 more teams each year. I also think a national sponsor will see this ideal demographic someday and be part of what we're doing in baseball and football and help us increase the pot. So there are many ways to attack this and in time we'll get it done.

I hope that better answers your question. I'm pushing hard for more teams, more sponsors and more exposure. Someday hopefully I'll hit that home run.

Please, keep adding money to the leagues. The more winners, the better.

More money to more winners keeps more owners returning.
